Struise Mikkeller -- the product of master brewing and friendship. Celebrate this sense of camaraderie by sharing this bottle with your good friends! - Joe Tucker, RateBeer.com
Struise-Mikkeller is a distinguished 'Double IPA' of 130 IBU. This slightly hazy, amber-coloured ale pours a nice and creamy yellowish, off-white head. The aroma is packed with hops, fine spices, and the best of candi sugars. The taste is very generous, elegant, and, to our taste, perfectly in balance. On the palate you can notice touches of grapefruit, other hints of citrus, spices, smooth sugars, and tons of hops. This unique ale has a long, lingering aftertaste, and offers 'The Best of Two Worlds" -- for that is what Struise-Mikkeller is all about. While this ale was already anounced since April 2007, it took another six months of full lagering before bottling could take place.
