Kerstbier Slaghmuylder 5,5° - 1/3L Ref: BB28327H A clear blond beer with a small head and fairly large bubbles. Lovely flowery, fruity aroma. Mild flowery, hoppy and fairly short taste. Witkap Pater Dubble 7° -1/3L Ref: BB28317H Pours a dark and bright ruby-brown-tainted, creamy head leaving a wonderful lacing; it has a complex aroma, full of character:apple, caramel and alcohol are immediately noticable, notes of bread comes also while the beer is getting warmer; very creamy mouthfeel, full-bodied, mainly sweet with a touch of finishing sourness, long malty and fruity finish - very good stuff ! Witkap Pater Stimulo 6°-1/3L Ref: BB21140 Cloudy yellow with a thin but persistent head and lace. Sourish(grape) nose with definite hints of yeast and barnyard aromas. Definitely acidic on the palate countered by some sweetness and wonderful yeasty,dusty qualities. Witkap Pater Triple 7.5° - 1/3L Ref: BB21146 Beer is sweet in a liqueurish way, medium-dry. Slight peachy, sourish taste, nothing to do with carbonation. Sourish-prickly sensation, no alcohol-burn. Soft basis. No new aftertaste, finish a bit empty (maize...). Witkap tipel has a break between the nose and the taste/finish. It gets mellow and lighter after the beginning. Great tripel! Big yeasty nose, hazy pale khaki color, and a foamy, sticky head. Sweet orange and corriander tastes with a brief hop finish. Sugary at times in the middle. Full body, complex and spicy.
