Artevelde 6,7° - 1/4L

Rust color with no particles underneath a dense rocky foam. Fresh and very vinous aroma of concord grape, pear, leafiness, peppery alcohol, Merlot, prune, iron, and light phenols. Medium body with lovely fluffiness. Soft on the palate as well. Flavors of prunes, metallic notes, cardboard, plums, and brandy. Very little hop presence. Subtle acidic notes are unpleasant. Finishes round and fruity with a dab of pineapple and coconut. Very drinkable and enjoyable.

Ref: BB20298
Amber to bottle brown in color. Sweet aroma, slightly spicy flavor. Caramel flavor is evident and hops are also up front. Thin bodied with hoppy ending. Tastes stronger than its advertised 7% as its alcohol bite lingers on. The whole flavor experience stops just short of a toasted quality that I remember encountered and have enjoyed before and really want from this drink.

Campus Gold 6,5° - 1/3L
Ref: BB28248Z
Hazy pale gold coloured, with a frothy white head. Aroma is citrus/apricot and some yeast. Taste is big hops upfront, then spices and citrus through to a dryish bitter finish. Medium bodied, quite highly carbonated. A pleasant beer.

Corsaire 9.4°-1/3L
Ref: BB20332
This beer is pasteurized when bottled, and undergoes no further treatment. It has a beautiful aroma with the fragrance of sugar cane. In its taste however there is a very manifest suggestion of burnt caramel, which is a result of the roasted malt used in its fabrication.
It is particularly easy to digest, and can be drunk with obvious pleasure, even served cool.

Delirium Tremens 9°-1/3L
Ref: BB20419
This perfect blonde accentuates qualities of an exceptional hop as well as various pale malts. She offers acute points of bitterness, and reveals with the nose an astonishing malted coat. It finishes on a bitter tone peppered without any key of aggressiveness. It represents strong lager under its best appearance. It was crowned champion of the beer world in 1998.
This beer comes in a stone coloured bottled and served in a glass covered in pink elephants! This may upset the purest but comes over as fun to the majority. This is a well crafted beer that rarely fails to make an impact.

A somewhat comlex beer. It produces a tremendous head that requires either slow pouring a big glass. More malty than Tremens with some chocolate notes and risidual sweetness. Very good.
Spicy sweet aroma, like a liqueur. Dark, dark amber color. Very strong alcohol flavor, especially in the finish and aftertaste. There is also a spicy fruity-ness. It's quite good -- and quite strong. Very interesting.

Pours a dark amber color with a small, lingering tan head. Strong, bready aroma of malt, yeast, and spice with a touch of alcohol in the background. Full bodied with low carbonation, the flavor is very malty sweet with some spiciness and yeast tones. The finish is lingering and sweet. The alcohol is well hidden, except for a slight warming quality in the gut. Excellent.

Very unique beer, light green color with a small white head, excellent lacing around the glass, lots of different spices in the nose, smelled very much like apple juice as well, tasted like apple juice or apple cider but with a carbonation kick & some small notes of alcohol, a little on the tart side, a bit sour as well, but overall a very good fruit beer

Ref: BB20663
Golden with a foamy white head. Sweet floral nose. Very sweet tasting, nearly overwhelming. The 9% ABV well masked in the flavor but shows in the warming feel all the way down.
Citrusy-sweet aroma, Belgian yeast, bread-y, light hops. Cloudy medium-light amber with off-white creamy lacing head. Medium-light watery body with heavy carbonation. Light alcohol burn. Starts a little sweet, a little citrusy, with Belgian yeast and spicy notes. Some bitterness comes in with light alcohol taste to finish, and ends up fruity-sweet and smoothly bitter for the aftertaste. Light acidic quality throughout, and is a little light in the malts. Pretty tasty, though.

Poiluchette blond 1/4L
Ref: BB20810
Light Belgian ale aroma, with yeast, hint of citrus, and inherent sweetness. Cloudy medium amber with foamy off-white lacing head. Medium body with very active carbonation, but not harsh on the tongue. Alcohol burn. Starts with pretty good sweetness, with light fruity characteristics. Yeasty notes with a bit of tart towards the finish. After has some dry bitterness to it, but casts off a sourish hops and muted chemical bitterness.
Poiluchette bruin 1/4L
Ref: BB20811
Head is initially large, frothy, light brown, mostly lasting. Body is hazy dark orange-brown, dense tiny/small particles, bottle conditioned. Aroma is heavily malty (molasses, dark bread) with a note of alcohol. Flavor is heavily sweet, moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly bitter. Medium to full body, syrupy texture, soft carbonation. This is clearly a doppelbock, stylistically, in every category.

St Idesbald blond 6°-1/3L
Ref: BB20948
With its low volume of alcohol of 6%, this is one of the weakest abbey beers. What emerges is a beer with relatively little dimension. Its taste is really very soft against a fruity background. It reveals very little depth in character, and does not develop at all in the mouth. Only a slight bitterness makes up for the thinness of the aftertaste.
Aroma is peppery with pineapple. Appearance is cloudy darker than gold blonde. Fairly large head that didn't last with some lacing. Sweet pineapple flavours that quickly give way to hop bitterness. Fairly thin though medium carbonation which works well.

Though the Blonde should have shown more character, it is the Brune that reveals the veritable character of the Saint Idesbald. Its volume of alcohol is more than correct at 8%, and it has a great many similaritieswith the old Flemish brown beers, that is to say sharp against a background of well balanced bitterness.

This is a great triple! Cork shot out of the bottle before I got the wire cap off! Great head, although loosely packed, not as appetizing as many others, seems to be a little too carbonated, but a great taste, rivaled by few. Spicy flavor belies the somewhat effervescent citrus zest in the aftertaste.

Villers Oud 7° - 1/3L
Ref: BB28210P
Very dark, clear, red/amber color with medium, off-white head. Quite mild, caramel-malty aroma with clear anise/licorice hints. Malty, slightly alcoholic and sweet, red-wineous flavor. Medium to full-bodied palate with quite well-balanced (though a bit on the high side) carbonation. An easily drinkable, sweetish and quite full-bodied dubbel.
Dark murky brown with no head. Aroma has dates, malts and bread. Taste is quite complex; malt is dominant, with spices and alcohol. Medium bodied and drinkable. Very good.
