Antiek Blond 8° - 1/3L
Ref: BB28037Z
Pours a cloudy, pale amber color with a medium sized, white head that lingers. The aroma is wonderfully fruity, with yeast, apples, bananas, and a bit of alcohol detected. Full bodied with medium carbonation, the flavor is fruity with yeasts and malts. The finish is slightly sweet, with touches of apples, pears, and bananas and a moderate bitterness from the hops. Fanatstic!

nother Artisanal beer from Deca Brewery
Refermented in bottle. A DELIGHT !!!
Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly lasting. Body is hazy medium brown, dense tiny particles, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately malty (caramel, nutty, toasted bread), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of plum, clove, and toffee. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Complex and enticing aroma, very good flavor balance (just a tad too yeasty), rich mouthfeel, and well-hidden alcohol. Superb.

The beer after its repudiation of the 330ml brown bottle takes up temporary residence in the glass a slightly hazy gold with a Brontosauric sized head that is creamy in consistency and the color an off white as it deliquesces the lace forms a solid sheet upon the glass. Nose is malt dominated, citrus like in its crispness, clean and fresh to the senses, start is sweet with a pleasant malt profile, the top light. Finish is authoritarian in its acidity with the hops delectable in their spicy presence, the aftertaste desert dry and long lasting, a nice refreshing beer.

Reddish brown brew with a light pink head. Cherries that have been sitting in a musty barn on a rainy day with the horses. Very nice balance between the sweet of the cherries and the sourness of the beer.
Guldenberg 8.5° - 33cl
Ref: BB28014
Beautifully grassy, yeasty, malty aromas, with some cherry as well. Undistinguished appearance, golden brown with small head which is persistent and adds a creamy quality. Flavor is all of the above with an excellent sour/bitter/malt/mineral balance. Smooth and rustic at the same time. Clean finish with some alcohol presence, not offensively so. Astringency at the level of a sour red ale? I think this one is underrated, its excellent and worth seeking out.

This x-mas beer poors blond to orange coulered with a magnificent whipped cream head which lasts and lasts and lasts. The lacing is very beautiful and first some malty aromas break free with a hint of mint. The taste is slightly malty and fully fruity from oranges over peaches to apricots. Very easy drinking despite the high alcohol volume which is well hidden. The aftertaste is rather hoppy and somewhat spicy. Full bodied and very well balanced.

The beer pours a deep beclouded brown with a semi-creamy head that is mountainous in size as it slowly fades a satin sheet of lace is left to obscure the glass from sight. Nose is rich in sweet malt with a nice hint of yeast, also crisp and fresh, with a hint of brandy bitterness, front is sweet with a good malt presence, the top feels moderate to the palate. Finish is heavy-handed in its acidity with the hops prickly in their spicy bite, tart and somewhat alcohol bitter aftertaste that is also sherry dry, and the alcohol does tend to warm the belly, a fine drinking beer.

Like any good saison this one pours with a giant head. The body on this brew is deceptively wit-like. Very thin but at the same time cloudy looking. The nose is incredibly spicy. The saaz in this one is off the chain. Its like a Saaz IPA. Redonkadonk. Nose has hints of SAAZ, lemon, coriander and a faint saltiness. The flavor really reflects all of these in mass quantity. Quite quenching but very bitter. Almost too bitter. Salty and brine like with a floral sweetness from the hops. Excellent brew!
