Adelardus Bruin 7° - 1/3L
Ref: BB28284Z
Adelardus abbey beer is the youngest descendant of our beers. This dark brown beer was made for the open house days of the abbey. Adelardus was one of the most important abbots for the abbey of Trudo and the city Sint-Truiden. He built the tower and rebuilded the existing church into one of the most monumental churches of that time. The ingredients are: brewing liqour, malt, yeast, hop, candy and sweet gale. Sweet gale is a mixture of ten spices from the region, which gives the beer his typical flavour. The alcohol content of this abbey beer is 7 % vol.alc.

Nice clear orange. Thin white head floats on top. Spicy little alcohol aroma. Coriander spice w/ a little alcohol in the finish. Some sweetness too. Slighty bitter hoppy palate. A solid highly drinkable tripel. Another quality beer from Kerkom.

After the blond and brown version, the brewery made a third type of beer: the 'Bloesem Bink' (Blossom Bink). Its a beer of high fermentation, unfiltered and not pasteurized, with secundary fermentation in the bottle. We brew this seasonal beer every year in the same period (spring-summer). The ingredients are: five types of malt, one belgian type of hop, brewing liquor, yeast, honey from Sint-Truiden and syrup of pears from Vrolingen. It tastes fruity with a lightly sweet character and a long fruity and bitter aftertaste. The alcohol content of this springbeer is 7,1% vol.alc.
