Chouffe 8°-3/4L
Ref: BB20300
Golden Ale, strong, spicy, lightly hoppy, with evoluting taste. Natural Beer, bottle refermented, unfiltered, not pasteurised and without any additives
This Chouffe was dying to get out of the bottle. The head is full and strong and maintains its presence throughout. It has a fine lace that clings to the glass, and an amber/golden color. La Chouffe has a great combination of effervescence and creaminess that adds an interesting character to the mouth feel and the taste. The smell is earthy and fruity with a hint of apples and pears. Taste is a complex and somewhat subtle mix of sweet and bitter that makes it very drinkable and not overwhelming. I have had in on tap and from the bottle and have never been disappointed.

Chouffe Houblon Dobbelen IPA Tripel 9° - 3/4L
Ref: BB40226
A unique marriage between the English tradition of IPAs, the new American revolution of Imperial IPAs and the classic Belgian way of brewing. Houblon Chouffe, although very much hopped as it is, showcases the unique balance between a very strong IPA and a very special Belgian Tripel exclusively created for this ale (Big malty body, distinct dryness, expressive estery fruitiness). - IBU: 59, Original Gravity: 1092

LA CHOUFFE is an unfiltered blonde beer, which is re-fermented in the bottle as well as in the keg. It is pleasantly fruity, spiced with coriander, and with a light hop taste.

Chouffe N'Ice 10°-3/4L

Cloudy brown beer w. insignificant head. Very perfumy, dry, fruity aroma w. a soapy (not bad) quality. Complex flavors, herbal - violets, rose, anise, distinct alcohol taste, particularly at fridge temps. Fruity, nice mouthfeel - Brasserie d'Achouffe is underrated - this is an excellent brewery. Finish tends toward sweet, syrupy, but a citrus note prevents it from being cloying. Had this chilled w. outside temps 85F, and it was refreshing and bracing - not just a winter beer, despite the label.

Mac Chouffe 8.5°-3/4L

Deep dark murky brown color, small, but simmering, tan head. Aroma: mollasses, nuts, butter, cream, dates, raisins, dark rum, all the rich flavors one can imagine. Thick, full, hot mouthfeel, full body, tingly hops. Super-charged with hops, the flavor keeps on coming, simmers and stews, with a long lasting, rich, satisfying finish! Takes the cake for all brown ales everywhere, past, present, future. Round, delicious, sensuous, and utterly lip smackin!

Vieille Salme 8.3°-1/3L
Ref: BB21108
It is uniquely its amber colored appearance that makes this beer look somewhat old-fashioned. This beer is in fact rather young and refreshing, whish gives it a fruity aroma. It is light in palate with no acridity.
Gold with an excellent fluffy white head and good condition. Good perfumed hoppines and delicate suggestion of spices in the aroma but as it warms some starchiness develops. Full bodied and chalky in the mouth with some hefty maltiness and a delicate spiced and perfumed edge. A nicely developing yeastiness tries to steer it towards witbier territory but it wants to be a Duvel and tries hard to stick to the plan. Malty finish that dries out quite quickly leaving some yeast and hop notes lingering.
