When the taste of peach meets the strongest beer in Belgium
Created many years ago by students as a cocktail, the Pêche MelBush was originally a mix of equal parts BUSH Amber and peach gueuze.
Brewed since 2009 by the Brasserie Dubuisson with the same rigour as the other Bush beers, made to an original recipe based on natural peach extracts, the Pêche MelBush has what it takes to satisfy everyone who likes fruit-flavoured beers with character. The natural flavourings and extracts of the fruit complement the original bitterness of the Bush Amber to create a rounded and perfectly balanced beer.
Pêche MelBush is a highly fermented, filtered beer with an alcohol volume of 8.5%, which will make it without a doubt the strongest fruit-flavoured beer.
Dark reddish brown with a medium, tanned and foamy head. Nice, malty aroma with strong anise and licorice, plus ginger hints. Sweetish, malty flavor with moderate hopping and anise. Hides the ABV excellently. Medium to full-bodied, slightly syrupy, low-carbonated palate. A very pleasant full and smooth brew.
Its a golden colored beer, with a nice white head. This stays for a while. A nice aroma of citrus fruits, some yeast and some spices. A fresh taste, with a good balance between sweet and sour. It has a sparkling finish. A very good beer.
Cloudy deep golden colour with a nice steady buit small white head. fruity hoppy and peachy pleasant aroma. Very good mouthfeel. The flavour is very pleasantly fruity with citrus, yeast, some flowrs and a mild pleasant bitterness. Good dry fruity well lasting finish.
Amber color with a thick white head and nice lacing. Pleasant fruity aroma, yeasty as well with peach blossoms and nice floral hoppiness. Sweet, light toasty malts, honey, citrus and a crisp floral hop bite. Please light to medium body, sparkly carbonation. Pretty nice overall.
Flip top bottle poured a nice fluffy white head with a golden color. There is a pear taste present followed by a bitter dry aftertaste. Not as hoppy as you would expect for a beer with this name, but very good regardless. Most Belgium beers that claim to be hoppy fall short for USA standards but there is definately a nice hop presence. The overwhelming carbonation added a bit of dryness as well.
The Trappist-Rochefort beers are top-fermented brown ales. They are brewed and racked within the walls of the Abbey of St-Remy in Rochefort. The modest size of the brewery means that the Trappist monks and their fellow workers can perfectly control the production process. The craft beer aspect is particularly appreciated by beer lovers. The Trappist-Rochefort 10 starts with a density of 24.50° Plato which produces a 11.3% vol. alcohol. A marvellous beer! But to be drunk in moderation! The Trappist-Rochefort beers are refermented in the bottle and their full flavour can best be enjoyed when they are served in their own specific glassware at a temperature between 12 and 14 degrees.
This represents the top of the range in the Saint-Bernadus portfolio of beers and it has undoubtedly the highest alcohol content too ( 10.4%). It is also the beer that is closest in taste and distinctive characteristics to its Trappist beers. It has a good deal of character and is well rounded, which at the forefront an impression of smoothness which rapidly creates a rapport between its taste and your palate. Its strong volume of alcohol does not diminish its flavor, which truly remains amongst the best in this category. This beer poured a dark amber color and formed an off white sudsy head that left circular lace. A good deal of carbonation was present. It had an aroma of malt, caramel and fruit. A flavor of malt, caramel and spicy fruit. A very strong flavor element and finish going on with this beer. A very impressive beer.
Leffe Brown is a full-bodied and rather fruity abbey beer. The flavour goes from a fruity sweetness to toffee or caramel with some roasted coffee notes, finishing with an oaky dryness. It should always be served in its stylish Leffe chalice-type glass. A traditional Belgian abbey beer with a deep brown colour and a full, sweet and fruity aroma. An all-around great beer. Pours a dark, thick brown with a sizable tannish head. A malty aroma is balanced with a nice blend of spice (my comrade and I couldnt single out any specific kind), both of which are prevalent in the flavor, along with maple, tannin, and berry fruit. Thick-bodied, ideally for the colder months, but, as we found, it can also be enjoyed during the summer. Good stuff.
Known as "Grande Réserve" in 75 cl (1 pt. 9.4 fl. oz.) bottles, is above all distinguished by its very character of a strong beer. This is a beer whose scent of fresh yeast, combined with a slightly rosaceous flowery touch, is particularly pleasing. Its aroma, perceived on tasting, only serves to heighten the pleasant sensations in the scent, while revealing a light but enjoyable touch of caramel
